Fix Acer Aspire One Wifi Connection Problem

Any event that occurs to us is an opportunity for us to learn new things. However bitter it feels, if we respond to it in a positive way, it will be a priceless source of knowledge, or even a priceless source of new awareness. It needs only a little more bit of patience.

A bitter experience was suffered by an owner of an Acer Aspire One notebook. The notebook frequently lost its wireless connectivity. It even lost the wifi icon and the driver too. After taking some actions against his notebook, he finally managed to get wifi back to normal. Not only that, he also got a new knowledge on how to prevent the problem from happening again. He, then, shared the knowledge which looks like following:

- First, click Start and go to Control Panel.
- In Control Panel, select System.
- When some tabs show at the top, select Hardware tab.
- Continue by clicking Device Manager.
- Click on the sign of + found next to Network Adapters.
- Then, right click on ATHEROS Wireless Network Adapter.
- Properties should, then, be clicked.
- Some tabs will appear again at the top. Select Advanced.
- Look downside where there was Power Save Mode. Click it.
- We will find on the right side a box of Value. Open it and click ‘OFF’.
- Finish the whole process by clicking OK.

The Acer Aspire One would, since then, run its connectivity untroubled just like before.
